If you live outside of the UK, you might be bilssfully unaware of the political circus that has been going on here. Resignations, links to Epstein, and dodgy donations are just the tip of the iceberg (not a lettuce this time though).
One figure though has loomed large over it all, waiting for his moment. His villainous actions and demeanour are so comical that they are almost to hard to believe. Thankfully though, Count Binface is here to stop Nigel Farage and he has a comic book to help him from SelfMadeHero.

What’s a Binface and who made him Count?
Count Binface is the brainchild of comedian and writer Jonathan Harvey David and gets the name from his attire. The extraterrestrial Count Binface comes from a long tradition of novelty candidates in UK elections. A regular at high-profile elections in the last few years, he has suddenly become the leading challenger against far-right politician Nigel Farage in the upcoming Clacton by-election.
Count Binface’s policies include:
- To build one affordable house
- Arcade grabber games to be made fairer
- He will not accept £5m donations from cyrpto billionaires
- A referendum on Pluto’s status as a planet
- To move the gents’ hand-dryer at Southoprt’s Great Himalayas restaurant to a more sensible position
The Count Binface Comic Book
In what is described as ‘an unauthorised celebration’ of the political hopeful comes The Count Binface Comic Book. The 72-page anthology features over 30 comic book creators, all inspired by the charisma and charm of the man from Sigma IX.
“I’ve been a fan of his ever since learning of his policy to nationalize the singer Adele” – Emma Hayley, Managing Director, SelfMadeHero
Remarkably, this project had a turn around of less than a month. As soon as Count Binface announced he was standing in the by-election, Managing Director of SelfMadeHero Emma Hayley contacted all the creators she could.
Given the stakes, plus the funny guy in a bin costume, it was perhaps no surprise that creators came out in force to get involved. Legends like Bryan Talbot, Dave McKean, Kate Evans, Steven Appleby, and many more have contributed to the book. Expect quality from the comic, just maybe not anything sensible.
